Ashford Grange is a 5 star luxury B&B in Matlock with all the advantages of contemporary facilities whilst blending perfectly into the Derbyshire landscape. Recently built in reclaimed sandstone, on the edge of the Peak District National Park, the house in Darley Dale, Matlock has been designed to take maximum advantage of the views from its hillside position. The site was formerly within the grounds of Darley House, once owned by Joseph Paxton of Chatsworth and Crystal Palace fame. The house and hayloft annexe occupy the location of the former hay barn and piggery of a working farm.
The Entrance Hall to the house is a gathering place for guests. There is plenty of reference material on things to do in the area as well as maps for reference. If you want a good read, relaxing at the end of a busy day, each guest room also has access to a wide selection of books.
Breakfast is usually served in the Breakfast Room, but on warm sunny days may be served in the garden.
