Luxury B&B in Matlock, the Peak District

Ashford Grange is a 5 star luxury B&B in Matlock with all the advantages of contemporary facilities whilst blending perfectly into the Derbyshire landscape.  Recently built in reclaimed sandstone, on the edge of the Peak District National Park, the house in Darley Dale, Matlock has been designed to take maximum advantage of the views from its hillside position.  The site was formerly within the grounds of Darley House, once owned by Joseph Paxton of Chatsworth and Crystal Palace fame.  The house and hayloft annexe occupy the location of the former hay barn and piggery of a working farm.

Ashford Grange – Outside Breakfast

The guest accommodation in the main house of our luxury b&b in Matlock (Tapestry Room and French Room) is on the first floor above the Entrance Hall and kitchen. From the first floor landing and the front door, you can see Riber Castle.  The Hayloft suite is in a separate building overlooking the courtyard and has its own stable door entrance approached by two outside flights of steps.

The Entrance Hall to the house is a gathering place for guests.  There is plenty of reference material on things to do in the area as well as maps for reference. If you want a good read, relaxing at the end of a busy day, each guest room also has access to a wide selection of books.
